Marketing to Global Citizens

Reach people whose legal, financial, or family life already runs across more than one country.

Global citizen, on this site, means a person whose legal, financial, or family life already runs in more than one country at the same time. It is a planning label for businesses. It is not a personality, a visa, or a synonym for every foreign resident. Most expatriates have one host country. Calling all of them global citizens makes the landing page impossible to write and impossible to qualify.

The buyer is comparing who is allowed to help with a cross-border problem: an account, a tax question, a will, a company, or a property held somewhere they do not live. They are rarely comparing lifestyle brands.

More than one market at once

Typical situations are a home in one country and tax residence questions in another, children in school in a third, a company registered somewhere else, or a pension and a property that no longer sit in the same jurisdiction. The person may be an assignee, a founder, a retiree, or none of those. The shared trait is that a single-country answer is incomplete.

If the problem is “we are moving to one city and need a school and a flat”, use expat families or corporate expats. If the problem is “we are staying, and the money, the will, or the company crosses a border”, stay on this page. A retiree belongs here when the issue is the structure across countries, and on the retiree page when the issue is the move into retirement itself.

The purchases that follow that life

Firms that fit are cross-border advisers, private banks that can onboard the relevant nationality, property firms that can complete a purchase for a non-resident, insurers that understand cover while a person is regularly in two places, and lawyers instructed on a matter that has a jurisdiction. Link the work to the purchase, not to the label:

  • Wealth management and financial planning, with the permissions and the countries named. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
  • Legal services for a stated matter. Immigration, property, and family law are not one search.
  • Property when ownership rules, currency, and remote completion are the real questions.
  • Health insurance when the person needs cover that is valid in more than one country, not a local-only policy described as international.

A firm that can act in only one of the countries should say that in the first screen. The reader is trying to avoid instructing someone who has to refer the file away.

People in this group search the problem and the country pair, or they arrive by introduction. An interest category called expats does not describe them, and a page that never names either country will not match the query. Build the page for a corridor you can serve: the two countries, whether the client is an individual or a company, and which regulator or bar the firm can speak under.

SEO and content are the usual spine, because the query is specific and the answer has to include limits. Lead generation works when the form asks which countries, what the matter is, and whether advice is for the person or an entity. An email address alone will attract people you are not allowed to help. The location guides are how you check that the city context, language, and local constraints are not being copied from a different market. Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Spain, and Portugal are examples of notes you might pair. They are not a list of where global citizens live.

Language and who is allowed to speak

The same household may read one country in English and another in a home language. A single English page can open the conversation and still fail when the document that matters is in another language. Say which languages you can actually support. Do not auto-translate a regulated claim.

Advertising rules follow both the product and the reader’s country. Financial promotions, legal publicity, and insurance advertising are not interchangeable, and a campaign that is acceptable in one market can be a breach in another. Your compliance reviewers approve the claim. We do not.

What the enquiry must contain

Which countries are involved. Whether the matter is personal or for a company. What they want from a first meeting. Which permissions they already know you hold. A request for a guaranteed tax outcome or a guaranteed visa is a lead to decline, not a lead to celebrate.

If wealth and discretion are the whole brief, and multi-country complexity is secondary, use the high-net-worth page as well and decide which problem the campaign is solving. One person can be both. One advertisement should not pretend to be both.

Start with the corridor

Send the countries you can act in, the matters you accept, and the matters you refer. Discuss your campaign or request a callback. We reply within one business day with a view on fit, not a projection of enquiries. All six groups are on the audiences hub.
