This privacy policy explains how Expat Marketing (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit expatmarketing.com, send an enquiry, or contact us by email or WhatsApp. It describes the site as it works today. It is not a substitute for legal advice.

Expat Marketing is responsible for the personal data described here.

What we collect

Enquiry forms

When you use a form on this site (contact, get started, consulting, callback, or a location enquiry), we collect:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number and country calling code
  • Your message
  • The type of form you used (for example, contact or consulting)
  • A market or location name, when you enquire from a location page

Forms also include a hidden honeypot field that people should leave blank. We use it only to reduce spam.

We process that information so we can reply to your enquiry and follow up about our services. Submitting a form does not create a client engagement. Commercial work starts only when both sides agree in writing.

Email and WhatsApp

If you email admin@expatmarketing.com, we receive the content of your message and any details you include.

If you use the WhatsApp link on the site, you choose to open a chat with us on Meta’s WhatsApp service. Meta processes that conversation under its own terms and privacy policy. We see the messages you send so we can reply.

Hosting and delivery

The website is hosted on Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to deliver and protect the site.

Enquiry form submissions are emailed to our team using Cloudflare Email Sending. The notification goes to an address we control so we can respond.

Microsoft Clarity

We load Microsoft Clarity on every page. Clarity helps us understand how people use the site. It may record usage metrics and session replays (for example, clicks and scrolling). Microsoft may set cookies or similar technologies for that purpose. See our cookie policy and Microsoft’s Clarity documentation for more detail.

Google AdSense

We load Google AdSense on every page (publisher ID ca-pub-5416752106475400). Google may show ads and use cookies or similar technologies to measure and personalise advertising. See our cookie policy, Google’s advertising technologies policy, and Google ad settings.

Fonts

Typefaces are served from this website. Loading a page does not send a font request to Google.

What we do not do

  • We do not require you to create an account to use this website.
  • We do not run a marketing mailing list from these forms.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep enquiry data

We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to reply and for ordinary business records (for example, following up on a conversation you started, or keeping a short history of who contacted us). We delete or minimise records when they are no longer needed for those purposes, unless a longer period is required by law.

Who else may see data

We share personal data only as needed to operate the site and respond to you:

  • Cloudflare (hosting, security, and form email delivery)
  • Microsoft (Clarity)
  • Google (AdSense)
  • Meta (WhatsApp), when you choose to message us there

Those providers process data under their own terms. We do not sell enquiry details to other marketers.

Cookies and similar technologies

Clarity and AdSense load when a page loads. This site does not show a cookie consent banner before those scripts run. Browser settings and the vendor opt-out tools listed in our cookie policy are how you can limit cookies and similar technologies.

Your rights (Hong Kong)

Under Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you may ask to access or correct personal data we hold about you. Send requests to admin@expatmarketing.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

People in the EEA and United Kingdom

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you send us an enquiry, you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of the enquiry records we hold, subject to any legal retention needs. You can also use the vendor opt-outs described in the cookie policy for Clarity and AdSense. Contact us at admin@expatmarketing.com.

This website is operated from Hong Kong. If you browse from the EEA or UK, Clarity and AdSense still load as described above unless you block them with your browser or the vendors’ tools.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when our practices or services change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you should read the revised policy.
